Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Nexo Plumbing ("we", "us") handles when you visit this website or call the number on it. Who we are and how to reach us is under "Contact" below.
What we do
Nexo Plumbing is a referral service. When you call, your call is routed to a plumbing provider in our partner network (or a partner’s call center). We are not a contractor and do not perform plumbing work.
Information we collect
When you call the number on this site:
- Phone number and caller ID (the name your phone carrier provides, if any);
- Call details: date, time and length of the call;
- Call audio, if the call is recorded (see "Call recording" below);
- Location: the ZIP code or area you give, or that is associated with your number;
- What you tell the provider on the call about the plumbing problem and your home.
When you visit the site, if measurement is switched on:
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and taps on the call button;
- Advertising click identifiers added to the link of an ad you clicked (for example msclkid for Microsoft Advertising or gclid for Google Ads), and the campaign that brought you here.
Our web server also receives standard technical information (such as IP address and browser type) with every request. Measurement is currently switched on.
Cookies and click identifiers
When measurement is switched on, the site stores a first-party identifier in a cookie or in your browser's local storage, so that a call can be matched to the ad click that led to it. You can clear cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time.
We also use Microsoft Advertising's Universal Event Tracking (UET) tag. It sets Microsoft cookies and tells Microsoft Advertising that a visit or a tap on the call button followed a click on one of our ads, so we can measure our ads; Microsoft processes this under its own privacy statement. You can manage Microsoft advertising preferences at account.microsoft.com/privacy/ad-settings. A browser that sends Global Privacy Control does not load this tag.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common standard for how to respond to it, and this site does not change how it works when it receives one.
Call recording
Calls may be recorded by us, through the call-routing platform we use (Retreaver), and by the provider your call is routed to (or a partner’s call center), for quality and billing purposes. A provider's own recordings are kept under that provider's practices.
Who your information is shared with
- Call-routing platform (Retreaver), which connects and routes calls and may record them for us.
- Plumbing providers and our partner network: your call, and the details you give on it, go to the provider your call is routed to, so they can respond to your request, and to the partners that route calls to providers and account for them.
- Measurement tools, only if measurement is switched on (see above), including Microsoft Advertising (UET tag).
- Where the law requires it, for example in response to a valid legal request.
How long we keep information
We keep call records only as long as needed for billing, quality and legal obligations.
- Call records (including recordings, if any): up to 24 months.
- Visit and click data (if measurement is on): up to 13 months.
We keep information longer only where the law requires it.
Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and ask for a copy of it;
- ask us to delete or correct your personal information;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information;
- limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect sensitive personal information on purpose);
- not be treated differently for using any of these rights.
The categories we collect are listed under "Information we collect" above: identifiers (phone number, caller ID, IP address, click identifiers), audio information (call recordings, if recorded), approximate location (ZIP code or area) and internet activity (usage data, if measurement is on). We collect them from you, from your phone carrier and from your browser, for the purposes described in this policy.
Sale and sharing. Providers and partners in our network pay us for referrals. Because your call and the details you give on it go to that provider as part of a paid referral, this may count as a "sale" of personal information under California law. If advertising click identifiers are used to measure ads, this may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
How to make a request. Use the opt-out form below or email support@nexoquote.com. We respond to requests within 45 days; if we need more time, as the law allows, we will tell you why. For requests to know, delete or correct, we may need to confirm your identity, for example by asking for the phone number you called from. An authorized agent may make a request to know, delete or correct, or to opt out, on your behalf; we may ask for proof of their authorization and ask you to confirm your identity with us directly.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, send this form with the phone number you called from or gave us, or email support@nexoquote.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information". Someone you have authorized to act for you may also send this request.
Global Privacy Control. We treat a browser Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of sale/sharing for that browser. When a browser sends it, this site does not load measurement or number-insertion scripts in it.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
